Craftster swappin'

Here's a necklace I made for a swap I did on Craftster.org. The theme was One Tiny Thing. We only sent 1 item which was really difficult for me as I tend to send more than a swap requires.

Jardin du Luxembourg

If you're ever in Paris, you must check out the green spaces. Our favorite is Jardin du Luxembourg. It definitely has sentimental value for us, but that is not the only thing that keeps us going back. Even when it's filled with people, we always seem to find a quiet spot. Well, maybe not quiet, per sé, but calm enough to where we can mentally block out the noise. ;)

Here are a couple photos that, of course, won't do it justice as it only shows a very small part of the gardens.

Couple quick photos of Reims

One of our vacation stops was Reims and most notably the Cathedral of Reims called Notre-Dame de Reims where French kings were once crowned.



Yes, the sky was that blue with not a cloud in sight! It was literally the hottest day of the year! Lucky for us the cathedral was pretty cool on the inside.




Though I was pretty proud of these photos, they honestly don't do it justice!
Unfortunately, the photos I took inside didn't come out very well, but I may post them at some point anyway.

So, what have you been up to? You know, the usual, preparing orders, designing jewelry, crafting, spending time with the other half, having to take yucky meds for a pulled shoulder muscle, in other words, life. ;)

I haven't decided if it's finished yet. ;)

I have also done a bit of crafting. Here are my first lip balms

They are champagne flavored. Yum! :D

Mmmm, sushi, etc.

I got a sushi kit that actually only had recipes on how to do the rice. I just a quick look around the internet and since I had smoked salmon, I just used that and green onion. Very tasty, but I'll definitely try more combinations again soon. :)



In other news my February Sampler arrived and it was most awesome as usual.

Also, I've received several mails recently (which I promise to reply to all soon)inquiring on Issue 3 of Lil Bit of Spice and I promise you it's coming! It's in nearly completed form and has been since late August, but a family emergency kept me from completing it as scheduled. As of yet, I still haven't completed, but look for an update in March/April or sooner if I have my way. :) In the meantime, there's still an issue or two of the Premier Issue and Issue 2 available at distro e.
