Tis the season to be baking...
I'm unable to do any holiday baking this year, but thought I'd share some of the sugar cookies I did last year.
Honestly, they were way cuter in person! (And obviously, not blurry!) They tasted delicious, too! :D

Christmas Village, Part II
Here are more photos from the Christmas village:
The owners of this stand are actually a couple who paint everything themselves.
Santa Hats galore!
Ugh! It really needs to be after dark to see these decorations well!
This carousel is really, really beautiful!
In other news, my Samples are up on the front page! :D

Christmas Village, Part I
I absolutely love this photo that I took of a street artist downtown. We were visiting the annual Christmas village/market this weekend and it was a lot of fun!
Mmmm, macaroons! These were artisanally made and most delicious!
Dried sausages and pâtés, these are traditionally Corsican.
Here's a little stand selling handmade? figurines.
The first year I went to the Christmas village (2000), most of the "houses"/stands were nearly all artisanal products, but now a lot more massed produced stuff has come around.
I've got to fiddle with other photos in Photo Shop as they came out a bit dark since it rained a bit and was cloudy. :(
P.S. Today is the last day of the sale of at SpiceyCreations.com!

I'm Sherlock Holmes...
Well, that was the swap theme over at Craftster. We were to "spy" on our partner's post, journal, etc., and craft 2 "small" items for our partner. It was thought up for Newbies, but anyone could join and I thought it was a fun theme so I did.
She got her package so I can post what I made for her. :D
My swap partner's getting married so I made her this broche/hatpin/bouquet decoration
And these wine glass charms
I also made her this necklace since her favorite color is red and she likes jewelry
and this Goddess bookmark because for some reason I felt like she'd like it and I was right since it's her favorite of the package (she liked it all) and mine, too! :)
Sorry about some of the blurry pics. I was in a hurry to take them and mail out and didn't verify I had clear ones before mailing the package off.
P.S. I do realize there are more than 2 items there, but I have this "problem" with overcompensating. *sigh*

Samples are up!
I just got back from a weekend "away" celebrating my other half's birthday. It was great, but a lot of work, organizing, preparing, decorating, etc. I'll try to get some piccies post later of the decorations as the "apple" theme turned out really well.
Also, what a nice surprise is to see my samples on the front page at the Sampler website.
(Photos property of the Sampler since unfortunately I forgot to take one before sending.)
More soon! Happy Sunday! :)

So, where's issue 3 of Lil Bit of Spice?
It's coming, it's coming...
Meanwhile check out distro e to get copies of the Premier Issue as well as Issue 2. I'm not printing them at the moment as I'm concentrating on Issue 3 whenever I get a chance to work on zine stuff.

Rocky beaches & buttons, what else? ;)
This photo is from this past weekend during our trip to Brittany.
This is a rocky beach in Plougastel, a French village famous for its strawberries
The photos don't do it justice. Also, it was a very cloudy day as you can see.
Here's a little something I made for myself from my ever-growing button collection
(Sorry for the blur.)

August Sampler + misc
I actually received my August Sampler a few days ago, but am just now posting. Shame on me! ;)
(Sorry for the blurriness! I'm just always in such a hurry to dig into it. *lol*)
I'm now apart of the Glitter Webdirectory. Just thought I'd share. ;)
I am currently working on an update to Spicey Creations which will hopefully be done tomorrow with lots of new pretties.
Here's one a necklace that's already up that I'm particularly proud of:
Also, I love a good sale and was able to pick this up at Sephora for a song:
It just too bad that it looks like they won't be selling it all the time in France. :(

Do I really need a title?
I'm finally back...I think. I had a really good (though shorter than originally planned) vacation.
I am currently working on a site update on Spicey Creations that will hopefully take place tomorrow so check back.
Here are a few of my favorite photos from the safari park we went to:
This zebra got up close and personal--well at least to our car. He let us pet him, too. Beautiful animals! :D
Here's the mean ostrich who decided to peck at our car. Luckily, a good polishing was all that was required to clean it up.
Hippy Camel and friend *lol*
Lions, and tigers, and bears! Oh, my!

Long time, no post
Sorry, it's been so long since I've updated. The warm sun has basically taken my attention away and I've been thoroughly enjoying myself! I am actually getting ready to go on vacation which will be nice! :)
I thought I'd make it up by posting some photos. I had some crafty moments as of late. :D
Here's some earrings I made for a custom order
I really need to start remembering to take photos of all the custom items I've been making!
A zippered pouch I made for a swap - the flower is a removable pin
Robot cards for the same swap - I found the "marbled" technique for the cards on Craftster
Charm Bracelet - same swap
I love how this turned out so look for me to do some themed charm bracelets for the fall on Spicey Creations
Earrings to go with bracelet
Ipod Case - don't know much about Ipods so I used a pattern found on Craftster to help me out
A beaded candleholder I did as a gift
In other news, Distro E has been updated with new issues of Lil Bit of Spice back in stock. So check it out. I'm gearing up for Issue 3 set for August/September. :)

Summer hath arrived
It's been a busy week and VERY VERY hot! Summer hit us hard and we jumped from temperatures around 70°F to 95 + °F weather in nothing flat. No springtime to speak of just so much rain and now hot and muggy. :(
Last week's "cheer up" was this yummy hazelnut brioche I brought back from Alsace. Insanely delicious!
I managed to get some more ATCs done as well.
(Sorry for the blurriness!)
Also, there's 15% off glass bead earrings until June 30 over at Spicey Creations
